A Great Inexpensive Pneumatic Cylinder
|

I have used this cylinder with great success, from 12" to 48" long. The 1" I.D.
PVC seems to be perfect for pushing open doors to making light weight bodies jump out of coffins. The 1/2" I.D. is rigid enough for longer extensions. It operates very well on 10 to 30 psi. |

How to:

#1.Cut the top of the stopper off
so the top is flat. Cut a 1 1/2" long piece off of the 5/8" dowel and drill a hole in the center using the proper size hole for your sheet metal screw. Make sure your cut is straight, sand if necessary. |

#2Coat the outside of the dowel
with PVC cement or epoxy, and push it in to the end of the 1/2" PVC hole side out. Make sure it is flush. |

Push the screw and washer
through the rubber stopper and screw it into the dowel on the end of the 1/2" PVC. It should look like the picture above. |
